Getting dogs spayed… wait, what is that? I had no clue what that meant but after my father explained me the process, I was horrified. How can people do such a thing? I argued and pleaded to my parents to not do this to Pepper, it was a very long surgery and I didn’t want anything to happen to Pepper. At first, I was very confident about my words until I heard that if we get Pepper mated instead of getting her spayed, there is a 50% chance that Pepper could die while giving birth. I immediately changed my mind and agreed to getting her spayed because it would be a better and safer choice for Pepper. Afterall, after she gets spayed, she can’t get pregnant, she will be less aggressive, it will benefit her health and it will give her less desire to run away from home. The plan was we will take her for a blood test then the next day she will get the procedure done. The vet had warned us that she will vomit, not consume food or water for a few days, gain weight and feel very sleepy after th

Dogs are great companions and actually help keep people happy and healthy but they  are a long-term commitment and a huge responsibility, they’re not toys you can put away when you're done playing with them. She had done the most upsetting thing ever, I never imagined Pepper doing such a thing.   I stepped into my room to see huge scratch marks on my door…   I scolded Pepper and I thought she realised her mistake but the next day when I woke up for school, I saw my plastic chair was chewed up and the next thing I knew I stepped into a puddle of pee. Then, I noticed that French Bulldogs aren’t just dogs which you need to feed, clean, play with, etc. They actually need a lot of attention or they can get allergies, skin infections, diseases, etc. French bulldogs are a very high-maintenance dog breed. But the thing I was most worried about was that me and my family were going to go to Kerala in October but Pepper can’t come with us so where should she go? We looked and looked and

She ran… she ran... she didn’t stop… Until she met a little something called stairs. Pepper looked back after seeing the stairs, I couldn’t figure out whether she was scared or wanted me to come with her whatever it was, she gave me those same enchanting eyes from the very first day. After that, I started taking Pepper on daily walks and she really enjoyed it. But the only problem was that Pepper’s breed gets tired very fast and she pants like mad which makes her look like a scary hound but  I still see her as the cute, naughty little puppy!  She also loved playing with toys, she takes her toy chews it, throws it then fetches it and chews it again, it was the cutest sight ever!  Usually all my friends complain that “My dog chewed my shoes!”, “My dog ate my homework…”, “My dog scratched up my wall!” but Pepper never did anything like this which made me proud of my dog and I would brag a lot about it! Pepper absolutely despised vehicles and cleaning equipment but we handled her. However,

Pepper… Pepper…Pepper… What about salt? Yes, I was very hesitant to get the dog at first but the more I thought about it, I became more excited. But was this the right choice? I mean, there’s no going back now we’ve got the bed, the food, the toys, the leash, the pee-pads and have even confirmed with the dog breeder. We set everything up in my father’s office room so that my mom wouldn’t find out. The dog breeder told us that Pepper was a very sophisticated female dog, she was a pure-bred show dog. That evening, my father told my mom he was going to the market but that was just an excuse to go get Pepper from the dog breeder. I had school the next day so it was my bedtime but just when I was falling asleep, my father was back! I walked in and couldn’t help but squeal, She is the most adorable thing I’ve seen in my whole life. However, the next morning pepper was just too curious and walked straight into the kitchen, eye to eye with my mother. My mom was NOT happy she refuse
